It's a good proverb - A cheapskate pays twice. But only it is not always pertinent. And if the question is about purchasing a car… I'm sure, if this poor fellows sufficed money for new Lexus - he had no dealings with such crate…And in this case – well, he will invest a lot of money and toil in it, plus a part of his soul – he will drive it and will be happy.

Hmm. Actually I also do not love people… But in my opinion it is too gloomy to do such assumptions. Certainly there are different situations, and people are different but that the majority - I doubt.
